A few weeks ago we went apple picking in Date Creek Ranch in Wickenburg. This is actually the fist time we’ve gone. There are only a few open farms in Arizona that have apple picking and this ranch is only a little over an hour and a half from our home. While it was a little warm, it was still fun! They gave us the tools we needed and then we made our way through the grove.
With a good amount of apples, I had to start coming up with some recipes for them. One recipe that was top of mind was apple crisp. I actually used to make apple crisp often years ago but realized, I haven’t made it in recent years.
This apple crisp recipe is unique because it serves just one. That means, if I’m craving an apple crisp, I don’t have to wait or make a big batch, I can easily enjoy one of these either for breakfast or for lunch! If you love the mug desserts, you’ll definitey love this one!
