Have you ever had those fried apples from Cracker Barrel? They are one of my favorite things from there. Sometimes I’ll buy some of the jars and take them home but recently I decided to give them a whirl on my own. These slow cooker apples were surprisingly easy and I love that they can be eaten as is or on something delicious like french toast.

Pressure Cooker:
Adjust the timing to 5 minutes on high w/ quick pressure release. I personally loved them from the pressure cooker, they were full of flavor and perfect for a quick breakfast turnaround!
The time you cook these in your slow cooker will really depend on how you like your baked apples. If you like them super soft, you’d leave them in there for longer. The cornstarch is what determines the thickness of the syrup of the apples.

Are the apples peeled? I can’t tell by the picture and it doesn’t state either way in the recipe. Mahalo!

They have the skin on them, I have not tried without the skin but I am sure they would still taste delicious!
