Easy Teen Halloween Costumes
80’s Girl Costume
When one thinks of the 80’s, they probably automatically see neon in their minds. Well since the neon craze came back, it’s easy to put together this outfit. I found these leggings for $2, yes $2, at Walmart! I also bought the shirt at Walmart for around $6. Paired with a pair of neon glasses and a headband makes this costume less than $10 and ready in just a few minutes. Don’t forget the high side ponytail!
Supplies:
- Neon colored shirt
- Neon leggings
- Bright colored glasses
- Neon headband
The Not So Neon 80’s Girl Costume
I realize that they still make lettermen jackets to this day but they were really big in the 80’s and you can find vintage ones for under $10 at thrift stores. Or, if you have one then this costume just got easier! Pair the jacket with jeans and white shoes and the costume is done.
Supplies:
- Vintage lettermen jacket
- Jeans
- White shoes
Football Player Costume
Can you believe I found this shirt at the thrift store for only $1? Paired with jeans and black Halloween makeup this football player costume was only a few dollars and ready in less than 2 minutes.
Supplies:
- Jersey Shirt
- Black make-up
- Jeans
- Football
Nerd Costume
Making this nerd costume was really fun because I was able to buy these cute pink suspenders at a thrift store for only $1! The bowtie was also only $1 and it’s a clip-on which made it easy to put on. The glasses were very easy because they are a pair of sunglasses with the lenses popped out!
Supplies:
- Jeans
- Long sleeve white collared shirt with a pocket
- Suspenders
- Bow-Tie
- Glasses
- Pencil
Rosie the Riveter Costume
If you have a chambray shirt laying around, this costume will be easy peasy! Simply tie a red bandana with the tie on top!
Supplies:
- Denim or Chambray shirt
- Red bandana
- Jeans
- Red Lipstick
Aviator Costume
This one may be tricky to do because we found this bomber (Air Force jacket) at a thrift store. But, if you have a green colored jacket and a pair of aviator glasses from the thrift store, this is an easy costume!
Supplies:
- Aviator or green jacket
- Aviator glasses
- Jeans
The hot dog photo bomlber here has nothing to do with this costume, LOL!
Lumberjack Costume
Dust off those boots and make this easy lumberjack costume. The fun thing about this costume is the axe but if you are heading somewhere, make sure you have a fake axe. You can usually find them at the dollar store in the toy section.
Supplies:
- Suspenders
- Flannel
- Knit ski cap
- Toy ax
- Boots
Scarecrow Costume
This may be my favorite costume that I was able to ask the teen to model. This look can be obtained without Halloween makeup. Simply use cream based products and black eyeliner. We found these overalls at a thrift store. I would recommend looking for these year round if you want to find them, I swear I always see them but in October they were unavailable and I assume that is because of DIY costume season.
Supplies:
- Overalls
- Flannel
- Straw Hat
- Makeup
If you can’t find any overalls, just wear jeans!
Nurse or Doctor
This costume is inexpensive even if you don’t have scrubs because you can buy nurses scrubs at thrift stores usually for a few dollars! Pair it with a stethoscope and you have a costume.
Mummy
All you need for this is a white long sleeve shirt, white leggings and gauze. Wrap your body in the gauze and you have an instant mummy!
Police Officer
This one may require a few props; police badge, police hat, glasses and handcuffs. Paired with a white shirt and blue pants, you have a Police Officer costume!
