Last week a few friends came over and we had an Ice Cream Float party, a perfect way to beat the heat. Summer has been crazy busy and I haven’t seen my friends as much as I’ve wanted to and the kids have been wanting to invite some friends over so this was a perfect opportunity. After scoping out some ideas and ice cream recipes, I headed to Walmart to grab my goodies.
I served A&W TEN and Sunkist TEN, these new sodas have only 10 calories per serving. I personally am a huge Root Beer fan (it’s the only soda I will drink), so I was excited to learn about these new sodas! It’s seriously in the 120’s this weekend and while I love to drink water, I crave soda in the Summer like crazy and can end up drinking hundreds of calories (yikes). But of course there is the whole pressure of looking good in the Summer so all those calories, definitely not a good thing. This is a great alternative. After enjoying both A&W TEN and Sunkist TEN, I am actually a fan of both!
The Ice Cream Float station was a hit! Complete with the A&W TEN and Sunkist TEN along with Dryer’s Butter Pecan, Vanilla Bean and Peanut Butter Cup. The Dryer’s Slow Churned ice creams are always my first choice in ice cream because they have half the fat and they taste delicious! The floats were served in ice cold mugs I found at the dollar store.
