We’re all geared up for Easter this weekend after I took a shopping trip to Kmart. I set out to find decor for our main dining room table and to finish off the kids Easter baskets. I of course went in the morning after dropping off the kids at school, I was happy to find Kmart was empty. It’s nice to get some peace and quite while shopping!
First stop, Easter baskets. I’ve never done a premade basket before but I do know that Tyler said he would like one. Is it the toys inside? Is it the fact that it is wrapped so perfectly? Who knows but it’s less work for mom! The selection at Kmart for a premade basket was almost overwhelming, I mean they had hundreds!! After looking silly for abut 20 minutes comparing baskets, I finally chose one with transformer dinosaurs. Perfect for that 7 year old of mine and it was only $8.99!
I also bought some candy, little plushes for Adrienne and Tyler and some decor. I found the Christopher Radko selection at Kmart to be quite cute. Also, they are all 50% off this week!
While shopping for Easter stuff I saw this sign, score! I love the Shop Your Way Rewards program that Sears and Kmart offer. You can earn points and double points as a reward, then you can redeem them for savings! Every 1,000 points is worth $1, I have over 8,000 points so next time I go, I can save $8 on my purchase! What’s nice is that I was going to spend that money anyways so the points are a much appreciated bonus! Also, they have perks like this week when you spend $50 or more, you get a $5 giftcard and I got one of those giftcards this week! You can sign up for the rewards program here: http://www.shopyourway.com/rewards
Back to shopping….
While shopping up front at the Easter section, I noticed this sign. They have all of their clearance toys at 50% off lowest price! I got a few things for Adrienne’s Easter basket and saved at least 75%! They are Fab Effex fabric, perfect for my 11 year old who is always stealing my crafting items 😉
After I left, noticed my savings! Woohoo! Not only did I get the $5 giftcard and double points, I saved $40!
Here are all the items I got for the kids baskets. Adrienne already has a basket and I think the boys are too old so I am going to make them little goody bags of candy. Of course, no Easter is complete with out egg dye, chocolate bunnies, peeps and jelly beans! I got all the above and more!
This little guy is the cutest and only $2.99!
You guys know I love the classic/vintage look in my living room and I wanted to have something simple yet classic as our Easter table decor to go along with my very frugal lace tablecloth from Goodwill. Look at this cute centerpiece I put together! It is the Christopher Radko chick on an egg, beautifully done and was only $6.49! I put it in a wreath that I bought also at Kmart so this centerpiece only took seconds to create.
I also added this cute candy bowl, also made by Christopher Radko and it was $4.99! Holds one bag of jelly beans perfectly!!
Remember the Easter egg pot I made last week? I added some Peeps skewers, another inexpensive way to jazz up your decor! Plus, they are so cute!

So darn cute! What a fun centerpiece – totally filing that idea away for next year! The Radko line is so sweetly awesome too!
