Can you believe it’s almost time for school? There are so many things that we have to remember. From clothes to binders, there is are so many things to remember. One thing that I know we sometimes forget is a gift for the teachers. Gifts are a nice way to welcome the teachers to a new year and show a small form of gratitude for all that they do.
This Back to School Teacher Toolbox is a great way to give teachers the gift of things they need. This is also a great way for kids to help put something together for teachers before they start school.
When building the toolbox, we had to think about things the teachers will need themselves or loan out to other students in the class. All in all this toolbox only cost around $10 to make which not only makes an easy but an inexpensive gift.
The tutorial for this is actually pretty easy! The toolbox was already painted this pretty green color. I put chalkboard tape on the front of it. The tape is very easy to apply and re-apply it if you misalign it.
On the back, there are vinyl pockets that also feature supplies. One pocket features paper clips and the other features stars that adhere to papers. I made these with a star shaped punch, an A+ stamp and adhesive dots (don’t worry I have links and information on these below for you). This way, the teacher can just adhere them easily to papers and projects!

- Wooden toolbox (this one is from Target – $3)
- Star shaped punch
- Chalkboard Tape
- Pencils (the ones with sayings are from Target – $1)
