The latest trends this summer in decor are tropical fruits, flamingos, and cactus. Or cacti if we’re talking more than one cactus. Also trendy? Cute party supplies! I love picking them up when I can and even ordering them from Oriental Trading. However, it’s always fun to DIY party supplies. I made these fun straws in a matter of minutes with my Cricut machine.
DIY Straw Decorations

Instructions –
Find an SVG cut you want to use and size them to about 1.75 – 2 inches in height in Cricut software.
Tip – To use your own SVGs, you simply upload them and save them as an image in your Cricut Design software.

If you wonder how you can create one layer with layered SVGs, you simply click the image then click on the eyeball next to each layer until you are down to your base layer of the SVG file.
Easy Italian Soda Recipe
Italian sodas are very easy to make and if you haven’t made them before, you’re in for a treat! The nice things is you can use any flavored syrup including coffee syrups and fresh fruit puree syrups.
- Raspberry Syrup
- Half and Half
- Sparkling Water
Pour a glass full of sparkling water over a cup of ice. Add a few tablespoons of half and half and a teaspoon of raspberry syrup.
