Love Washi Tape? Need to protect your phone? This DIY Washi Tape Phone Case will take you minutes to make and it will cost you only a few bucks!
Want to know two facts about me? I love pretty things (obviously) and I’m also a clutz. I recently had to replace my phone with a new one through my phone’s insurance program because I dropped it and destroyed the screen and the charging port. :/ Big bummer, even bigger bummer though was the letter the company sent me saying that I have used up the annual warranty amount which is 2 phones. Sheeze, I went through 2 phones in less than a year? I had to do something to protect my phone so I set out to find a case.
I found some cute phone cases online but I wanted to create my own case. I came up with a clever idea: DIY Phone Case featuring some of my favorite Washi Tape with a clear phone case. The best part about this phone case is the clear case protects the Washi Tape!
I found a phone case like this one on Amazon for less than 3 dollars + free shipping! Below I share how I made this project, it’s easy and you can change it up as often as you would like without needing to invest in a new phone case:
Project: DIY Washi Tape Phone Case
What You’ll Need:
Phone Case (see these Clear Phone Cases on Amazon, most are less than $5 w/ free shipping)
Washi Tape
Cardstock
How To:
Here is a hint, there is a cardboard cut out of a phone in the case when it comes to you in the packaging. Use that as a template to cut out a new piece OR use that piece.
Just be sure there is room for the flash 🙂
Cover the cardstock cut out with layers of washi tape, insert it in the case!
So maybe you didn’t need a tutorial but it’s a fab idea! Feel free to share w/ pins, tweets etc!
