This has been a busy week and I haven’t had time to do much outside of work. However, I have put a bigger focus on being healthy. After I had pneumonia a few weeks ago, I realized I was doing too much and stretching myself out too thin. Unfortunately being sick is what brought me too this realization. So this week I started going to the gym and drinking more juices along with eating healthy.
I actually don’t juice as a replacement, though I do eat less portions to help balance my calories. One of my favorite juices that is very easy is this one with only a few ingredients. If you have read my tips on juicing, you know it’s pretty easy and you don’t need many ingredients to do it!
Carrot Apple Ginger Juice
Ingredients:
- Apples
- Carrots
- Slice of Fresh Ginger
Directions: Place in juicer and enjoy!
You can store this juice for up to two days and it still tastes fresh. You can also use this juice as a base to another juice or smoothie. Mix in some strawberries, blueberries , kale and chia seeds for a great power smoothie! I’ll usually drink a glass of this in the morning then another glass as a snack between lunch and dinner. If the froth on top is not something you are a fan of, you can either mix it with a spoon or skim it with a spoon.
