Last month some of my favorite blog friends and I headed to the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix for a fun weekend getaway. This resort is not too far from where we live and the nice thing about this resort is that it’s centrally located for anyone in Phoenix! Living in Phoenix means we have limited time outdoors in the summertime because it is so hot. Meaning, we either we get outside to go swimming or we don’t go outside at all. One of the bonuses though is the fabulous resorts in the valley that are perfect for a staycation. I had never been to the Point Hilton before but I fell in love once we got there.
Unfortunately one of the downsides to being a busy working mom is not getting to spend time doing fun things just for you. I really am glad that my friends organized this weekend getaway at the Pointe because I can’t tell you the last time I had a girl’s weekend.
The best thing about the Point Hilton is the many pool areas to relax in. There is a lazy river, play area for kids and a large pool with a waterfall to make lounging around even more relaxing. There were also smaller pools next to the casitas.
We stayed in a casita and we found them VERY roomy. They include a kitchen, dining area, living room, and bedroom. Not only was this perfect for all of us, but it would also be perfect for my family.
Another great amenity of the resort is the onsite restaurant. If you are staying at the resort but not near the restaurant, the resort will send a cart over to pick you up!
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the resort the next morning. There was an omelet bar, buffet and made to order breakfast.
The resort gave us a few goodies for our stay. While I didn’t have time to enjoy a trip to the spa at the resort, this would definitely be something I would add to our next getaway weekend.
If you are looking to enjoy some food outside of the resort, we went to True Foods at the Biltmore. This restaurant features only natural and raw foods but in a very delicious way!
