This post my friends will be short and sweet (pun intended). The annual Downtown Glendale Chocolate Affaire is this weekend which means you should venture there while you have a chance.
It’s free to get in (score) and it runs thru Sunday the 9th from 12 PM to 5 PM.
What: Chocolate Affaire, where chocolate purveyors from Arizona and around the nation gather in Glendale for this award-winning festival that includes art, romance and of course, chocolate!
Info: http://www.glendaleaz.com/events/chocolateaffaire.cfm
Where: The event is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Glendale, in Murphy Park, located at 58th and Glendale avenues.
What do you get? All the chocolate you can enjoy. Now you do have to purchase the items but in my opinion the vendors are very well priced with everything from bags of Chocolate Kettle Corn for $2 to Chocolate Covered Cheesecake for $4! My personal favorite is the chocolate covered banana in dark chocolate. I didn’t try the chocolate lemonade but it sounded delish!
If you like something a little spicy, I did spot some chocolate covered jalapeños.
Why yes that is chocolate covered bacon.
Not in a chocolately mood? No worries, they have non chocolate items as well!
I had been following Black Tie Caramels on Instagram for a while and I was excited to see them there! Their caramels are amazing. If you are local, find them. Enjoy them. Buy extras because you’ll want them later.
Be sure to also check out the fabulous vendors for some great Valentine’s gifts!
If you go to the festival, let me know how you like it!
