Today I’m sharing an upcycled project. I found this $.50 cent pantry lazy susan and converted it into an office spinner! I found an easy way to spray paint chevron patterns using the Silhouette and Duck tape sheets.

Chevron Supply Spinner (Lazy Susan)

Supplies & Tools:

• Lazy Susan (I used a plastic one from a thrift store)
• Spray Primer
• Ocean Breeze Krylon Spray Paint
• Duck Tape Sheets
• Mod Podge Acrylic Spray
  
• Electronic Cutter (I used Silhouette)

How To:

I cleaned the Lazy Susan and then primered it w/ a spray. After primering I cut out 3 chevron shapes w/ the Silhouette which I purchased from the online store. I will tell you, this is the best tip I have when doing chevron shaped stencils. I tried to make my own Chevron pattern on the Lazy Susan w/ painters tape and it was taking too long and it wasn’t even. By me using this cut out as a stencil, it saved so much time.  I wanted an adhesive stencil so it wouldn’t move but I didn’t want to use a good piece of vinyl so I used a sheet of Duck Tape that I didn’t plan on using, much cheaper.

Once the shapes above were placed on the spinner, I sprayed the spinner with the Ocean Breeze spray paint and let it dry. I then removed the Duck Tape and erased any pencil marks w/ a white gummy eraser.

I finished the spinner with an Acrylic Mod Podge spray to prevent paint chipping.
