As you may have seen in my Eating My Way through Disney post, I attended TechMunch LA about 2 weeks ago.
I really enjoyed the TechMunch conference which is fully geared towards food bloggers.
We talked about finding your niche and blogging and the importance of it. I wish I could focus on just one thing but I love too many things to do that. I did find motivation from that panel though for blogging in general. We also learned more about food styling and photos (which was probably my favorite panel). We also heard about the best ways to use Pinterest, building our brands and even heard live cookbook pitches (which were all amazing).
While I am not strictly a food blogger, I found this conference very informative. I mean, it’s my 13th (or 14th I lost count) bogging conference and it takes a lot to impress me at a conference. I loved how intimate it was and all of the information we learned. I really loved the building your brand and marketing panel. I feel like they shared not only information but motivation and inspiration!
It was a great day of learning and of course, eating! The next day Heather from BrieBrieBlooms.com and Sara from MomEndeavors.com and I headed into a fun day at Disneyland! It’s definitely different going with just friends and not kids to Disneyland but I’m not complaining at all, it was nice not to have to worry about waiting in long lines with the kids. Of course, we seemed to have went to Disneyland at the perfect time with only a 15 minute wait for Space Mountain and walking right onto rides like Pirates of the Caribbean!
During our lunch at Cafe Orleans, we enjoyed some Mardi Gras decor and jazz music!
Storm Trooper siting in Tomorrowland!
We of course rode on Space Mountain & Space Mountain, two of my favorites!
Of course, you can’t go to Disneyland and not ride on the Tea Cups!
Heather is not a fan of the tea cups. I don’t blame her, I felt very dizzy when we were done since I was so focused on taking photos.
Our day at TechMunch and our day at Disneyland sans kids was really a blast. I hope TechMunch decides to come back to DL next year, I’ll definitely be going again!
Our time there ended with a beautiful sunset at the Grand Californian. I really enjoyed this hotel and it was definitely a bonus to stay on site at Disney so we were always close to the fun!
Heather says
Yeah, thanks for that awesome Teacups photo of me! We had so much fun!! Although I already knew it from previous conferences together, you are an awesome roomie and I loved being in Disneyland together!
