I absolutely love the flavors that surround the holidays. I try to get a little more workouts than usual because I can’t resist the yummy pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger and more that make my tastebuds so happy. Recently I went to Sam’s Club to check out their holiday goodies, oh how I love this store during Christmas time with all of their decor and treats! Another thing I love is their coffee selection, they actually have a great variety and I found a large bag of Holiday Blend Starbucks coffee there too!
I prefer to buy my coffee in bulk because really, I don’t like grocery shopping so this takes one thing off my “regular” list and I am also less likely to run out. If mama doesn’t have coffee, no one is safe from her moods! Of course it is also cheaper, Starbucks coffee in the stores for a regular size bag is pretty expensive so buying a bulk pack of coffee saves me a little bit of money. One thing I do appreciate about Starbucks blends is that they are usually pretty strong and flavorful. I like flavor with my coffee and other brands I do find that I am having to put creamer in it. Which isn’t necessarily bad unless you look at the calorie content.
Along with the big bag of coffee, I picked up Artisan Fresh Pumpkin Muffins. I hadn’t paid attention before but I had no idea that the bakery inside Sam’s made goodies other than breads and cakes in a like called Artisan Fresh! Also, the price was a steal, 6 large muffins for under $4, it couldn’t be beat and I knew I had to have it with my holiday coffee. I had hoped to to find fresh baked cinnamon rolls too but the baker had said they weren’t out yet. I did find a pack of mini cinnamon rolls though. When I brewed the coffee the next day, it smelt soooo good and tasted good too!
The pumpkin muffins and little cinnamon rolls were a great pair for this coffee. I found myself alternating nibbling and sipping all the goodness. This was a perfect treat for a Sunday morning, especially when we woke up to 40 degree weather here in Phoenix. We are so glad Fall is finally HERE and we can enjoy all aspects of it!
Of course with this big bag, I couldn’t just keep the goodness to myself. I took coffees in to go cups along with some delicious mini cinnamon rolls from Sam’s Club to the teachers at my kids school. They were ever so grateful! It was just one way we wanted to share that we appreciate them!
I printed out cute coffee labels that I found online and added TGIF to them. Because everyone, especially teachers are thankful for Fridays 🙂
I was a little bummed that the bag didn’t icnlude a resealable seal but this is an easy fix by storing it in an air tight container.
