With citrus plentiful around the Phoenix area right now, we’re definitely enjoying lots of oranges in this house. I’ve been mainly using them for juicing fresh orange juice and other juice combos but we’ve also been enjoying them simply as a snack. Once we started going through oranges, I noticed we had a lot of peels getting tossed. One thing I decided to do with those peels was to make an orange peel cleaner. I use citrus to clean different spots in the house like the shower and the garbage disposal but this cleaner let’s me clean more surfaces in the house.
This orange vinegar cleaner recipe can be used to clean surfaces throughout the house!

- Door knobs
- Surfaces of appliances
- Mirrors
- Sink fixtures
- Windows
Orange Peel Cleaner Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of white vinegar
- 2 cups of orange peels
- 1 cup of water
- spray bottle
- mason jar
Directions:
- Place the orange peels in a mason jar. Slowly add in the vinegar.
- Allow the orange peels to sit in the vinegar for approximately 2 weeks. Occasionally shake the glass jar.
- After 2 weeks, pour the vinegar and 1 cup of water in the spray bottle.
