Today is the big game and while we aren’t doing much other than gluing our faces to the TV, we will be enjoying a few snacks. I recently purchased some jalapeno jelly from a farmers market and they had mentioned it was a sweeter type of jelly with a savory base. I thought instead of eating this on the typical jelly bases like toast, I could make this into a dip! This dip only takes about 5 minutes to make so if you are in a hurry and need something quick, this will be perfect.
You will probably have dip leftover but don’t throw it out! You can use it in your next dinner. Simply put chicken breasts in a baking pan, pour the cream cheese mixture over it and bake for 45 minutes for a creamy chicken dinner that was easy to make!
Jalapeno Jelly Cream Cheese Dip Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of jalapeno jelly
- (2) 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 small can of diced chilis
Directions:
- Cream the jalapeno jelly and cream cheese together with a mixer on medium for about 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in the diced chilis with a spoon. Refrigerate and enjoy!
Tips:
If your cream cheese doesn’t have time to get to room temp, put the cream cheese (out of the package) in a glass bowl and place in microwave for 30 seconds.
You can find jalapeno jelly at most grocery stores. If you can’t find any and you are planning on making this for a party, check out the choices for Jalapeno Jellies on Amazon.
