Got Christmas ribbon left over from a craft project or did you buy too many rolls on clearance last year and now you aren’t sure what to do with them? Try a ribbon wreath! This is really simple and can be done in less than an hour (depending on how large your wreath is)!
Time: 1- 1.5 hours
Supplies:
Styrofoam Wreath (found at craft stores)
Ribbon, the more varieties the better
Hot Glue Gun
Find a base ribbon to wrap around the entire wreath (larger it is, the less time it will take to wrap), as you start to wrap take the hot glue gun and adhere one side of the ribbon to the wreath as you continue to wrap. This will ensure your ribbon stays in place! As you can see, I used a wide gold wired ribbon that I bought from Target.
After the ribbon is wrapped around the entire wreath, start tying the ribbon along the wreath in knots leaving about a 2 inch ribbon on each side. Don’t worry about placement of which ribbon goes where, just continue to tie different ribbons around the wreath until it’s mostly covered.
DONE!
This wreath is so easy, it can be done while you are watching TV or as a family craft!
Here is the one I made for Halloween:
