There’s something about the treats that only come out during the holidays. One of those for me are Holiday OREOS. I love the red color, they are festive and perfect for serving at parties. But, if you wanted to take that holiday momentum a little further, you could make these holiday truffles! These can easily be given out as gifts or served at your Christmas gatherings.
These truffles have a firm crunch with the solid chocolate yet a soft center that will make it impossible for you to just enjoy one. If you aren’t a fan of sprinkles, you could easily crumble a few of the OREO cookies and use them as a topper to the truffles.
HOLIDAY TRUFFLE RECIPE
- 1 packet 8 Ounces of Cream Cheese (Should be room temperature)
- 1 packet OREO Cookies
- 1 cup Vanilla Almond Bark (This should be about a half of a package)
Make sure you have a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper prior to starting this process.
|Place the cream cheese in a mixing bowl, mix until fluffed.
|Add the cookies while it is mixing. This will crush the cookies into the batter.
|Once well blended, roll the mixture into 1 inch balls. Place them on the parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
|Melt the almond bark then dip each ball into the chocolate and place them on the paper. Sprinkle the truffles with sprinkles and allow to harden.
These truffles are best made the day before you want to enjoy them. However, you can make them days before as well as they will keep in a sealed container.
How about a few more treats?
