How to make easy Homemade Playdough
Older kids could help with this but I would be cautious of all kids around the stove.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 2 tsps of cream of tartar
Directions: Put all ingredients in a pot and cook on medium heat until it is thick. Remove and as it cools, form into a large playdough ball.
Store in an airtight container or ziploc bags.
How to color the dough: I like to use candy food coloring, it’s an oil base and it takes just a little to work. For this one above, I used a regular black food coloring and you can see it bled through. Take a small amount of the coloring and kneed it into the white dough.
