I find that I am drawn to a lot of dark colors, if you go into my closet about 3/4 of it is black or grey. However, I think an office deserves a little brightness to keep creativity flowing. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite spray painted office decor pieces that aren’t that traditional. I try to say I’m not a hoarder when it comes to my creative room but who am I kidding, I have way too much stuff! I need great organization and you will see a few of my favs here!
The first one you can see above is just a shelving unit I pieced together at Ikea. It cost me less than $15 and I added just a few coats of spray paint! The colors I used were Rustoleum Fusion Berry Pink, Rusteoleum Fusion Yellow and Krylon Gum Drop.
This peg board was actually an ugly black plastic peg board from Walmart that was around $6. I also covered this in Krylon Watermelon and added hooks. Easy peasy!
This is one of my favorites, just an old cookie sheet I picked up at a yard sale for only $.50 and turned it into a DIY magnetic board. I coated it in my favorite Krylon color, Ocean Breeze (primered first of course). I then added some vinyl cuts from the silhouette and turned some of my Target Dollar Spot clothes pins into magnets. The cute chevron notepad is from the Target Dollar Spot too! I then hung it with ric rac on my wall. It will be perfect to hang some to do lists or project ideas I am working on.
This spray painted camera is a little bit different as it’s not really an organizational piece but it is cute decor. I have a few older cameras in my office as decor but this one wasn’t really “vintage”. I found it at Goodwill for around $1, it’s just an old film camera, nothing too fancy but I loved the lens dimension on it. I just coated it in Krylon Watermelon to put on my shelves!
