Today is a very special day as we are celebrating Clever Guy’s birthday! It’s hard to believe that 11 years ago today he was just a tiny little thing. Today we are sharing what he took to school for his birthday treat. After our Disney World visit, we were feeling reminiscent and wanted to share something Disney related. Together we created these Mickey Mouse Rice Krispies and actually set it up as a make your own rice krispies treat party! This would be great for a birthday party or even just a fun Disney party!
The inspiration actually came from Goofy’s in Downtown Disney where kids (and hey adults too) can put in an order for a fun rice krispies treat complete with the fun toppings they choose! They actually get to fill out a checklist which was really fun for Clever Guy.
This rice krispies bar area was complete with:
- Melted chocolate
- Sprinkles
- Crushed oreos
- Mini & regular chocolate chips
- White chocolate chips
- Marshmallows
- Coconut
- Reese’s Pieces
This way the kids could make theirs however they wanted to!
I used this cookie cutter from Amazon along with this sandwich cutter.
For fun we put them on straw sticks so they could eat them without getting their hands terribly messy. This worked well with the stronger paper straws.
