peppermint oreo truffles

These Candy Cane / Peppermint Truffles are easy to create and addicting! They make a great gift during the holidays.
Ingredients
- 2 Sleeves Candy Cane Cookies from Trader Joes (Or Peppermint Oreos )
- 4 Oz. cream cheese (softened)
- 1 bag Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions

| Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper | |
| Step 2 | |

Process the cookies in a food processor until nice and crumbly, don't over puree them. |  |

| In a large bowl, combine cookie crumbs with the cream cheese. Come on, don't be afraid to use your hands! | |
| Step 4 | |
| Shape them into little balls, approx 1 inch big. | |
| Step 5 | |

Lay them on the cookie sheet and freeze for approx 30 minutes to an hour. |  |
| Step 6 | |

Melt the chocolate carefully in a microwave, once melted (stir the chocolate well), carefully dip the truffles in the chocolate using two forks to toggle the truffle back and forth until it's coated. |  |

| Garnish with crushed candy canes, peppermints or the candy cane sandwhich cookies. | |

| Allow to dry on the cookie sheet, enjoy! | |
