At the end of June I attended Disney Social Media Moms on the Road here in Phoenix, a mini conference dedicated to sharing the Disney Magic and inspiration with some helpful tips for moms in social media. Of course, our family loves Disneyland. I mean I couldn’t tell you how many times I have been myself let alone my children. It’s one of our favorite places because of course, it is one of the happiest places on earth. The magic seems to always be the same yet seems to always be even more magical with every visit.
During the conference we had some fun and even learned a little bit.
So what’s coming to Disneyland?
Mickeys Halloween Party at Disneyland
We have been to Disneyland during Halloween many times but have never done the party. Something I am actually kind of bummed about now that the kids are older. But, maybe we’ll make it this year?
Here are a few things happening this year at Mickey’s Halloween Party
- Monsters U Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace featuring Mike & Sulley in a spirited Monster Scare-Off.
- Halloween Screams, a boo-tiful fireworks spectacular —exclusive viewing for Mickey’s Halloween Party Guests.
- Special trick-or-treat stations with candy and healthy goodies.
You can find out more about the party and purchase tickets here!

On July 17th, Disneyland celebrated it’s 59th anniversary and of course that means exciting things are coming to Disneyland for their 60th anniversary.
Right now every week Disney is asking for YOUR photos from each decade. This week they are asking for 70’s which means this girl has got to dig through her 80’s photos for next week! During the duration of the contest, people will vote on their favorite photos from the past 60 years. 1 lucky fan will win a trip to the start of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration in spring 2015!
Keep up with what is happening with Disneyland’s 60th anniversary http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/tag/disneyland60/
Here are a couple things that I took away from DSMMOTR
Tracey Clark shared some great photography tips. She shared that our vision is in our photography tool box and that our best camera is the one we have with us.
Erin Glover shared about her adventures on the Disney Parks blog and her insight on social media. Her job is pretty cool…
I think the best thing I took away from the conference is to follow the Disney Parks Blog. This blog is updated frequently with updates on what is happening at the parks along with fun photos, contests and more.
Oh and I met the one and only Grumpy Cat who was obviously, unimpressed by meeting me.
A couple weeks later I found myself at Disneyland for the Type-A conference. The best part about going to Disneyland for a conference of course is getting to enjoy the parks with friends.
I finally rode Big Thunder Mountain after the renovation. It was awesome and I am not giving any thing away but if you go on it, be sure to look for all of the fun new details!
