Have you ever had a Honey Crisp Apple? The sweetness and juicyness of these apples makes them stand out beyond any other apples. These apples are perfect to enjoy alone or in a great recipe. I’ve made apple butter, apple sauce and apple pie from these apples and the taste is awesome. Even my family noticed that these apples tasted so much better than other apples.
Whole Foods Market is celebrating fall with a special one day sale on organic Honeycrisp apples. On Friday October 29th, organic Honeycrisp apples will be just $1.40 a pound (regular price $2.99 lb). At 50% off, this is a great way to celebrate fall. I recently tried these apples from Whole Foods and they are simply delicious. This deal gets better if you are in Phoenix, the apples will be on sale for $.99 lb at the PV store (Tatum and Shea).
So what else can you do with these apples? Honeycrisps are also great for slow roasting, dumpling baking, cider brewing, caramel dipping and more.
I love stocking up and doing a “canning” day with apple butter. It takes a lot of apples to make apple butter and it can get pricey but at these prices, it is definitely worth it!
