I’ve been working on some cute Valentine’s ideas for my little Valentines thanks to my creative friends! Check out what I have been working on and make sure you click on the blogs to see the tutorials and their projects! Best of all these all took about 5 minutes or less to create!

These candy kabobs are for the kiddies, they are cute but a little trickier than they look! My friend Sara from Mom Endeavors shared this idea, check out her tutorial and cute candy kabobs here : http://www.momendeavors.com/2012/02/candy-kabobs.html

These Washi Tape Valentine’s Mailboxes are cute, right? My friend Andrea at WorleyHouseBlog.com shares her tutorial (and mailboxes which look even cuter than mine) here: http://www.worleyhouseblog.com/2013/02/washi-tape-decorated-mailboxes-for.html

My friend Allison at Allfortheboys.com is probably one of the most talented people I know when it comes to digital design. She creates these cute lunchbox notes and she created these ones for Valentine’s Day!

Are you looking for some easy last minute treats for Valentines Day? Everything I created here took less than 5 minutes to make!

These Oreo pops are cute for anytime of the year!

Chocolate Covered Oreo Pops Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate candy coating bark (white)
  • Oreo Cookies
  • Sprinkles
  • Sucker sticks

Directions:

  • Pour a decent amount of sprinkles on top of wax paper or parchment paper. This will be the back side of the cookie pop.
  • Melt chocolate according to package.
  • Take Oreo cookie and insert stick carefully. The cookie will come apart, keep it together by gripping it tightly.
  • Hold the cookie stick over the melted chocolate, spooning the chocolate over the entire cookie, keeping hold of the cookie in tact.
  • The melted chocolate will be what holds it together so be sure to coat it well.
  • Place the cookie pop on top of the sprinkles, then coat the top with sprinkles.
  • Allow to harden in cold temperature.

This bark is easy with only a couple ingredients.

  • Place candy or sprinkles into melted chocolate.
  • Tap the cookie sheet onto the counter so candy pieces can set.
  • Allow to harden in cool temps.

A few other ideas for some quick Valentine’s Day goodies.

  • Dip pretzels in chocolate and coat with pink and red sprinkles.
  • Dip a shortbread type cookies in the chocolate and cover with sprinkles. The ones I did in the top I bought at Walmart for under $.50 for a package.
  • Take a Wilton mold and place some candy hearts inside the mold, fill with melted candy coating.
What do you make for Valentine’s day?

Valentine’s day is almost here and this will be the first time I will be officially decorating because we finally have room for it! One of the items I came across when looking on Pinterest for printables was the subway art pictured above. The subway art printables are great for unused picture frames or thrift store frames. This one was around $1 at Goodwill.

Little Birdie Secrets shared the above printable on her blog for free! You can download and print it here: http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2012/01/valentine-subway-art-and-frugal-candy.html

There are a few more I found too:

What do you do to decorate for Valentine’s day?

Do you remember the NOEL sign I created for Christmas? I found a way to repourpose it for Valentines day! I took all the letters and cut the N into a V. This craft is similar to what I did with the NOEL sign here: http://cleverpinkpirate.com/2011/12/05/diy-noel-sign-from-pottery-barn-for-10/

LOVE Sign

Time: 30 minutes

Suppplies

  • LOVE cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby
  • Red enamel acrylic paint
  • Sparkle glaze
  • Hot glue gun

Directions

  • I painted the letters with the acrylic paint.
  • After they dried, I finished them with the sparkle glaze.
  • I then adhered them with the hot glue gun. The O wasn’t secured enough so I put duct tape on the back of the O and the E.
