Caramel Sauce Recipe
|Prep time||1 minute|
|Cook time||7 minutes|
|Total time||8 minutes|
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
|Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat.|
|On medium heat, stir in whipping cream and brown sugar.|
|Continuously stir over a medium heat for about 4 - 5 minutes.|
|Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and continue to whisk over low heat for 1 minute.|
|Pour in a jar and refrigerate.|
Tips for making this homemade caramel sauce:
- Keep stirring to prevent scorching.
- Keep it in a mason jar so you can heat it up easily for a warm caramel sauce that is perfect for ice cream.
