Love the smell of Christmas? I have an easy way you can make your whole house smell good this Christmas! I made a Christmas Potpourri that took less than 5 minutes to do and my house smells wonderful. You can keep it on the stove all season long!
DIY Christmas Potpourri
Ingredients:
1 Sliced orange
3-4 Cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup of mulling spices OR 1 tablespoon of whole cloves, 1/2 teaspoon of orange zest, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.
4 Cups of water
Place all the ingredients along with in a sauce pan. Place on stove on medium heat until a small boil then place on lowest stove setting to allow the aroma to simmer all day long. This pot will last about a week, just dump and do again once it’s done!
You can also make this as a gift! Just pour the ingredients in a mason jar or make a sachet!
For the sachet, take a cheese cloth and 1/4 cup of mulling spice with 3 cinnamon sticks along with some directions. They can just put the whole sachet in water or open it and pour it in.

I do this every year and what I have found that works really well is a small crock pot on low. I place my spices with the exception of orange and lemon slices in a tied piece of cheese cloth, use apple juice or cider our of the store and simmer all day. Makes a great drink to sip on during those crafting days and makes the house smell wonderful.
