Clever Fashion: Finding my New Year Style

Sears is a client I work with through Collective Bias but I received no monetary compensation for this post.

It’s been a warm Winter so far here in Phoenix. I’m talking about 75 degree weather. Now, I know most of my friends out of state would love to have this but honestly, I’d love to wear jeans, boots and scarves non stop. However, the warm weather does have it’s advantages like getting to wear sandals & sleeveless tops with in December.

With every season I do give myself a budget for new clothes and earlier this week I took that budget to Sears. I may have spent a little over my budget but for good reason! I found amazing deals. I’m talking about tops for $4.99, shoes for $9.99 and jeans starting at $11.99! I’m not really surprised though, every time I walk into this store I find smokin’ deals. But, let’s get back to this shopping trip.

Every time I update my wardrobe, I try to step a little out of my comfort zone. I knew I wanted new jeans but I wanted something different. I feel like maybe I am a little behind with the denim trends because when I went shopping there was printed denim, floral denim, distressed denim, colored denim and so much more! I just ventured into color skinnys last years so it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for the new year.

I have admired the military look from afar but haven’t found my style with this trend yet. I was able to put together a subtle military look with these items from Sears:

I wasn’t sure about the distressed look but it is so me.  They are cute and definitely give a casual look which is so me! These shoes definitely help make the outfit!

I love bling and this has the right amount just for my style.

With the warm Winters here, they seem to merge into Spring. When I was shopping I spotted some items I instantly fell in love with for the warmer weather.

I found this triangle top by Almost Famous for only $13. One of my favorite trends right now is the geometric shapes so I was sure to grab this!

Also, I really like these blue cropped skinnys I found by Canon River Blues. They are a light denim with the option to roll and crop. Cropped skinnys are perfect for me because I seem to have the skinniest ankles and no skinnys are actually skinny in this spot. It’s also perfect for a warmer Winter/Spring look!

See? Tank, capris and some sandals. In December. It’s crazy but I will take this over the heat that will be coming in about 5 months!

The nice thing about these cropped skinnys is they come un cropped easily.

Even with all my new favs, I’ll always be a jeans and boots kind of gal. Check out these boots I got for only $9.99 at Sears! The Jeans? Only $11.99. The lace top was only $4.99. True story!
