It’s hard to believe that Volleyball season is coming to an end! The Clever Tween has been playing her heart out and should be ready for Varsity next year! One thing I’ve noticed is how intense this game can get! There has to be coordination, communication, strength and skill. These girls play hard but sometimes, accidents happen. The other day during a game, another girl on the team and Clever Tween went for the ball and she ended up getting scratched during the game and needed a bandage. Unfortunately I didn’t have any and neither did she so I decided to prepare for the next time she needed a bandage by creating this First Aid Tin.
I used a bandage tin I had on hand, then covered it with Duck Tape. I filled it with this new type of bandage, BAND-AID® Brand with QUILTVENT® Technology bandages, along with some tissues. Of course, I personalized it with a scorpion.
This new type of Band-Aid allows breathability and also wicks away blood so that the wound stays clean for proper wound care. I think as much as my child gets hurt, that’s a great thing.
The inside not only features the Quiltvent technology, the padding is super soft which I think is great on a wound or when I like to embarrass the Clever Tween, an owie.
I bought them at Sam’s Club which seemed like a pretty good deal. I received 180 bandages for $9.98 and included in the package was a variety that was perfect for my busy volleyball player. There are Tough Strips Waterproof which really seemed great because I knew they would stay on, even when sweating. At only $.06 cents per bandage, definitely a great deal and much better than using a generic that wouldn’t hold up as well with her movement.
I will say the cute bonus to buying this box was the Winnie The Pooh bonus pack inside. Awwwww!
After Volleyball comes Basketball in just a few weeks, luckily with this many bandages we’ll be first aid ready.
