So I welcome everyone to read this post unless you are my mother. If you are my mom, you must exit now.
So now that that’s out of the way, I am excited to share this post with you. It’s been a long time since I have gotten professional pictures of the kids done. I used to get them for every season until Tyler was about 1. Then, life got busy and I just didn’t put an effort into getting them done. I am a little sad because I have about a million photos of Adrienne until about 5 and only a few poses of Tyler.
I was asked to try out the PictureMe studios for family portraits. I was actually excited, this is where I always took the kids when they were younger. If you know me, you know I like easy and things that fit in my busy schedule. Since the PictureMe studios are at Walmart, it makes life easier for me.
So back to my mom and why I had to kick her out of this post, I got my nephew and kids together for portraits as a gift to her. I initially thought that this would be a Mother’s Day gift but I may give them to her for Easter, I am really wanting to share them with her. I hate holding onto surprises! For just the occasion, I recently bought Tyler and my nephew, Ethan, matching outfits from Hartstrings.com and they looked so awesome in the photos!
When I made the appointment at PictureMe, I was excited to find out you could do photo appointments online at PictureMe.com, score! It made it really easy as I also looked for deals and found a few I could print out! We got a free 10X13 photo! Perfect for mom!
When we got to the PictureMe studio and it was time to do our photos, little Ethan was freaked out. He had never gotten photos done and he had no idea why this lady was telling him to sit. Luckily, she was very kind and patient with him. She acted as if it wasn’t a bit deal and did photos of my kids first and when he saw that, he wanted in on the fun too! He even did a few photos with mom who is expecting little brother very soon!
After the session was done, it was time to choose our photos. I have an extremely bad habit of always ordering more than enough photos and it was no exception for this time. Luckily, we got a great package of a lot of photos for only $200! We even got a CD of all of our images with the copyright release so I can print as many photos as I want, I’ll be honest, I will probably use these images on our Christmas cards!
And this girl, it’s hard to believe she’s only 11. So beautiful and so grown up looking!

Overall, I am pleased with our experience and photos. We got a lot for our money and the photographer was very kind and patient. However, we ran into an issue with there only being one photographer on spot and time. It seemed like it ran long and she had other appointments so we had to go through the photos ourselves. But I liked picking photos myself and adding the enhancements to them, I wish that you could do this online though. I suggested it to the PictureMe studios, we will see if they do! If you make an appointment, I would ask them when their least busy times are so you could not feel rushed.

They always take a bit longer don’t they. It’s good that your kids are a bit bigger and can do the “hurry up and wait” thing. Great photos 🙂
