I recently went with a group of bloggers to an event at Down East Basics. I’ll be honest, I’ve been to the mall several times and hadn’t even remembered what DownEast Basics was. When I got the invitation to come to this event though and was able to find out more about the store, I was really excited because this store sounded like it was made just for me. They offer casual dressy clothes at affordable prices.
I was eyeballing this cardigan you see above, I love the texture on it.
There were so many cute clothes in the store, it seemed that I took forever to make decisions! One thing you should know about me and shopping is I like to take my time to make sure I can make an educated decision on my purchases. Also of course, I want to make sure I am getting the best for my money! I was happy to find tops priced around $20 and skirts around $30. The colors were all neutral which I felt made it really easy to mix and match tops to bottoms. I also felt that everything had a way of matching eachother, making it easy to put a few outfits together that you could interchange. I really loved their dresses but they didn’t seem to have many in store that I liked. I decided to look online later at there dress selection (see below).
I was also excited to find they had a clearance section and course if you know me, you know I can’t resist a jewelry section and I loved all of the choices Down East had to offer:
After shopping here, I would say you could easily put together a few interchangable outfits (skirts, tops and accessories) for under $100.
So what did I end up getting? This cute lace top that was priced around $26!
I also bought a cute necklace that somehow missed being in this photo. I felt it could go with any colors and accessories I felt like pairing them with.
After shopping in store, I wanted to check out their selection online.
Here is what I found:
This would be cute with a cardigan.
Clearance tops starting at $9.99!
This cute rose dress for only $39.99! They also had more cute dresses online then I found in store http://www.downeastbasics.com/dresses.aspx
Also, adorable and affordable scarves that I didn’t seem to notice in store. Of course I could have just been too busy having fun and probably over looked them!
They also have a Home Section! http://www.downeastbasics.com/home.aspx
I was given a giftcard by DownEast Basics but was not asked to do a post, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
