I love taking photos, one thing that I probably have too many of are pictures around the house. Picture frames new at department stores are pretty pricey. I like to go to thrift stores such as Goodwill and look for items that I can use to store my pictures. I enjoy finding an array of frames to fit my style whether its an antique look or a modern frame. Sometimes I will find a frame that I can paint or transform into something else.
Here are a few frames I have found:
I also like to look for photo books that are “photo safe” that I can use for my pictures. I can use these for my own use in our living room or as a gift for a family member. When giving as a gift, I will load with photos of my children for my mom or grandmother. This makes for an inexpensive gift for special occassions and holidays.
Here are a few more things to consider:
Do you have a frame already at home with a missing glass? Find a replacement “glass” at the thrift store for a fraction of the cost of a new frame.
Let your creativity flow! Picture frames can be used for a variety of decor such as framing artwork or taking the glass out and replacing it with a mirror from the craft store. “Frame” your wall by taking out the insert and just using it as decor.
If there is a sticker stuck on the glass, use some dusting spray on it and the oil will help loosen it off.
